A small comment on the spat between Robert Manne and the Australian, with a minor linkstorm.





A little while ago, academic Robert Manne launched an indepth criticism of The Australian. Editor and full-time Super-Villain Chris Mitchell and his troll henchmen did what they usually do, bluster, lie and misrepresent.

I've attached three links below. They all explain it far more intelligently than I'm capable of. What I would point out is that I don't see this as a left/right issue. If a newspaper is misrepresenting facts to you, it doesn't matter which side of the ideological divide you lay claim to. You're being lied to, and you walk away not understanding what's actually going on. That's a disservice to everyone, no matter their opinions.
