A particularly tasty diatribe from APV

This caught my eye on FB this morning, and I think it's sentiments could fit in quite neatly in this country without too much squeezing.

"Not in my America.
My friend and I were having a discussion on the importance of compromise in a Democratic government and I realized something.
Every single time we have gotten ourselves into one kind of trouble or another, it has been the result of trying to "compromise."

In my eyes, the Right has sent us a clear message, "We will not compromise with the President because he is black, and he is a Democrat.
And we are willing to sacrifice the well-being of this nation to bring him down."

Alright, fine... If that's how they wanna do it, then bring it on!!!

History has shown us that the right-wing has always been on the wrong side of history.

They opposed the women's suffrage movement and Roe v. Wade.

They opposed the Civil Rights Movement even after the founder of the Republican party Abraham Lincoln called for equality and freedom amongst all men.

They have denied the damage that Climate Change has done to our planet and will continue to do unless we come up with alternative methods of energy and production.

Always, they are wrong.

And always, we have to compromise with them to get anything done.

Well no more.

I am tired of having to placate to religious dogma, xenophobia, and supremacist ideologies disguised as "conservative philosophies."

I will not chop off my foot just so I can walk.

So Mississippi can bite me, John Boehner can go drown in his own tears, Mitch McConnell can sit on a spike, Eric Cantor can get run over by a car, and the entire bigoted "conservative" party and all those who support it can suck my Liberal, hippie, pot-smoking, pro-choice, eco-friendly, New York, Jewish Dick.

Fuck all of you and stop trying to force your beliefs down our throat under the guise of Patriotism.

Your ideology and philosophies don't work, never have, never will so either step aside and let us move forward or else we will make you."
