A growing image of conservatism

In some previous posts, I have discussed the alignment of conservative thought with traits of delusions of grandeur, lack of empathy and deceit (It's official - conservatives are off their rocker).

I have also discussed Jonathan Haidt's study 'On the Moral Mind' which suggests that conservatives value loyalty and authority more than compassion or equality (On left and right and right and wrong).

So today another study has leapt into my field of vision, namely this which suggests that low-IQ adults are more likely to gravitate towards bigotries or socially conservative ideologies.

The combined picture these studies paint is a fascinating one. It tends to indicate that the worst possible combination you could probably have is a rich, racist conservative. But then again, we all knew that already yeah?

Think about this the next time someone espouses bigotry at you, or conservative political viewpoints.

Anyway, here's an infographic.
